Additional Info: Commanded 6th Brigade from June 25, 1915 to April 20, 1918. Ketchen was the only one of the original temporary brigade commanders appointed in Canada to 2nd Division to be given permanent command. He came very close to being relieved of command after the fiasco at the St. Eloi Craters in April, 1916 and would have been sent home but for the support of General Turner.
